NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY :
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, misapplication, normal wear and tear, dents from road debris impact, collisions, and/or intentional damage of any kind. To file a claim, contact the original installer/dealer first. Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by STEK. STEK does not cover the Product installed on areas that are not the windshield and is not responsible for any resulting damages or fines. This Limited Warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not apply to damage or issues resulting from:
1. Improper Use & Handling
- handling guidelines. Misuse: Neglect, or use of the product in non-automotive or illegal applications.
- Storage & Installation: Improper storage, faulty installation by unauthorized parties, or failure to follow STEK’s official installation and
- Application over existing glass damage, surface defects, or contaminated surfaces.
- Post-installation cracking caused by excessive tension or over-stretching during the application process is considered an installation error and is not recognized as a manufacturing defect.
2. Environmental & External Factors
- High-temperature environments with daily maximum temperatures:
• High-temperature environments with daily maximum temperatures above 30°C or high humidity above 70%
• High UV exposure environments with UV index above 8 (frequent direct sunlight exposure)
• Driving or storing near coastal areas (salt exposure) or industrial zones (acid rain and air pollution)
• Continuous exposure to outdoor conditions due to permanent outdoor parking
- Accidents: Collisions, vandalism, fire, or "Acts of God" (e.g., hail, floods, sandstorms, extreme weather).
- Physical Impact: Damage from road debris, rock chips, or scratches caused by windshield wipers.
- Normal wear and tear: stains, discoloration, damage from water spots, Normal aging, cosmetic degradation, or surface scratches incurred during regular use.
3. Maintenance & Chemical Exposure:
- Improper Care: Use of automatic car washes/Pressure washers, abrasive tools, or harsh chemicals (e.g., solvents, IPA, caustic cleaners).
- Water Spots: Permanent staining caused by mineral deposits left to dry on the film.
- Use of non-STEK ceramic coatings: To maintain eligibility, only STEK Windshield Care Solution may be used according to provided guidelines.
- STEK Ceramic Coating: Failure to apply a required STEK Coating resulting in haze or surface damage.
4. Glass-Related Visual Phenomena:
- Visual Distortion: Distortion, shimmering, or ghosting effects caused by the following are not considered product defects:
- Non-Genuine Glass: Distortion may occur if the film is applied to "non-genuine" glass (any glass replaced after the vehicle’s original manufacture).
- Film Leveling: Issues may arise if the window film applied to the interior glass does not achieve an optimal leveling state.
- Glass Refraction: Vehicles equipped with glass that has a low refractive index or specific curvature angles have a higher physiological probability of producing a "shimmering" effect.
- Defects such as bubbling or blistering caused by surface irregularities or outgassing from non-genuine (aftermarket) glass are not covered under this warranty.
The product is to be used in compliance with all applicable local laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and ordinances (“Laws”) of the applicable country, state, province, or local jurisdiction. Failure to comply with such laws voids the warranty. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to comply with all applicable laws. Retain this warranty card, as it must be presented along with your original invoice to a participating STEK authorized automotive windshield film dealer to receive warranty service.
Curing Process & Professional Post-Care
Pre-Delivery Final QC
• Inspect under lighting for bubbles, contamination, wrinkles, and distortion
• Re-confirm that all edges are free from lifting
• Verify optical clarity from the driver's perspective (check from inside the cabin looking out). Note: Some temporary visual disturbance may be visible before the film fully cures. Clearly determine whether this is a natural artifact from squeegee marks or residual moisture, or a film defect characterized by a consistent, repeating pattern.
• Completely remove residual water from cut lines, crevices, and around the wiper area

Specialized TPU Film Maintenance (Post-Install Coating)
In high-humidity or high-contamination environments, applying a ceramic coating over DYNOtop enhances durability and hydrophobic properties.
- Surface Prep (STEK Paint Cleanse): Lightly refine the self-healing surface using Paint Cleanse and a soft foam pad.
- Degreasing (STEK Prep): Use STEK Prep to remove any oils or residue from the cleansing step.
- Ceramic Coating: Apply the chosen coating uniformly over the film surface.
• Durability Tier: STEK Quartz < Final Coat < Super Coat
• For standard climates, Quartz is recommended. For extreme weather or high-mileage vehicles, utilize Final Coat or Super Coat for maximum protection
